Entanta Pharmaceuticals General Counsel Nathaniel Gardiner Announces Retirement After 28-Year Tenure

Nathaniel Gardiner, the longstanding General Counsel at biotech firm Entanta Pharmaceuticals, announced his intention to retire at the end of March 2024, capping off a remarkable 28-year tenure at the company. This information was revealed in an official securities filing made public this week.

Gardiner, 70, has been an instrumental figure in Entanta since its inception in 1995. He took over the helm of its legal department in 2014, following a successful stint as the company’s outside counsel. Prior to this, he was a partner at Boston law firm Edwards Wildman Palmer. Interestingly, the firm amalgamated with Dallas-based Locke Lord LLP in 2015, a year after Gardiner moved in-house.

Entanta is perhaps best known in legal and pharma circles for its discovery of a leading cure for Hepatitis C. The company’s success in this field may in part be attributed to the guidance and legal acumen provided by Gardiner.
