Antitrust Veterans from FTC and DoJ Join Wilson Sonsini as Partners

Maureen Ohlhausen and Taylor Owings, two significant veterans of the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and the Department of Justice (DoJ), have been announced as new partners of Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, joining their antitrust and competition practice branch. The information was disclosed by the firm on Friday.

Ohlhausen, currently operating from the company’s Washington, D.C., office, is a former commissioner at the FTC where she also held the position of acting chairman. Her expertise and key contributions to the Commission will be an instrumental benefit to Wilson Sonsini’s antitrust and competition practice.

Similarly, Owings, also based in the Washington, D.C., office, served as counsel and chief of staff in the antitrust division of the DoJ. Her extensive insider knowledge of regulatory compliance, investigations, and enforcement will provide exceptional value to Wilson Sonsini and its clients. It’s also noted that Owings will transition to the firm’s New York office in the near future.
