Mid-sized Canadian business law firm, Minden Gross, is set to dissolve after over 70 years of service. The partners of the firm took this rare decision following a recent intensification of challenges faced by mid-sized law firms in Canada.
Details concerning the dissolution were announced on the firm’s website in late December. This follows an earlier indication of the firm’s impending trouble, which was marked by the loss of senior lawyers, including the managing partner, despite previous claims of solvency and excellent financial performance in 2023.
