George Casey, the global managing partner at Shearman & Sterling is set to leave his position, joining UK-based firm Linklaters in New York on January 16. Casey, who assumed his role in 2018 and is known for having previously co-headed Shearman’s global M&A, will be making the move along with a five-person team.
This move comes ahead of Shearman & Sterling’s impending formal union with Allen & Overy. The forthcoming merger will see Allen & Overy leaders taking charge of the combined firm.
