Apple Inc. stalwart Saori Casey is slated to step down from her role to serve as the chief financial officer at smart speaker firm Sonos Inc. This move marks a major departure for Apple.
Casey is scheduled to begin her new role on January 22, filling the shoes of current CFO Eddie Lazarus. Concurrently, Lazarus will be taking on a new position in the company as chief strategy officer, while also maintaining his responsibilities as chief legal officer, as reported by Sonos.
Boasting over a dozen years of experience at Apple, Casey held the role of vice president of finance. She was a close associate of CFO Luca Maestri, managing financial planning, forecasting, and investor relations.
