The case was brought forward by Frank Cuellar who was represented by a team of attorneys who are slated to receive around $1.3 million. This is equivalent to about 30% of the total settlement. Although the typical percentage for class-action attorneys in California roughly stands at 25% of a settlement, Judge John W. Holcomb of the US District Court for Central District of California stated that the increased rate was justified.
