Lawyer George Conway, known for his conservative views and open criticism of Donald Trump, recently shared his predictions regarding the legal challenges Trump continues to face. Conway, notable for his tenure as a partner at Wachtell and his work as a prominent anti-Trump Republican, proposed that the former President could very likely end up serving jail time.
During a recent appearance on The Bulwark, Conway stated, “Trump will spend the rest of his life in jail. It may take a while. Justice has already taken a while. He’s going to end up spending the rest of his life in jail.”
Conway has also publicly voiced his criticism of Trump’s argument claiming ‘absolute immunity’. Dismissing this argument as ‘totally insane’, Conway made a pointed reference to the negative reception this argument received at the D.C. Circuit. Adding further, he seemed impressed with the intellectual prowess Judge Florence Pan demonstrated while addressing the argument.
In the span of his career, Conway has evolved from a Biglaw partner to a critical voice in the conservative commentary, particularly with regards to the Trump era. He consistently offers legal experts and the general public alike, a unique perspective given his profound understanding of the intertwining worlds of law and politics. Read the full interview here.
