The Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law recently broadened its San Francisco Immersion program, initiating what is referred to as the West Coast Initiative. Through this new venture, externships for law students will be available in high-tech companies like OpenAI and Sony.
The West Coast Initiative encompasses not only San Francisco but also includes Los Angeles and Seattle. This expansion has been made possible due to the university’s collaborative efforts with Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.
The program just commenced last week and has been designed to provide valuable opportunities to the current and future students of the law school. The initiative is also expected to be of benefit to alumni and corporate and law firm partners.
The innovative design of these programs is aimed at preparing students to become future leaders in their fields. By immersing students in the ongoing technological advancements as well as the entertainment, media, sports and business domains, the West Coast Initiative equips its participants with the exposure and hands-on experience they require to navigate and excel in their respective law careers.
