Ronald Weich Takes the Helm at Seton Hall School of Law Amid Fraud Investigation

Ronald Weich, long-standing dean of the University of Baltimore School of Law, has been selected as the new dean of the Seton Hall School of Law. This shift in leadership comes in the aftermath of a $1 million fraud investigation tied to the law school. Weich’s tenure at his new post will commence on July 1, as per a statement from UBalt Law.

It takes a unique blend of strength, wisdom, and humility to effectively head a law school, according to UBalt President Kurt L. Schmoke. The law’s landscape can often be shuffled dramatically, sometimes as a response to strain from societal unrest and endemic injustices, he added. Schmoke, who himself served as dean of Howard University School of Law from 2003 to 2012, expressed these insights in a statement.
