The State Bar of California Board of Trustees has recently approved measures to curtail costs linked with the administration of the California bar exam. This strategic decision includes the removal of two exam testing sites in an effort to optimize expenditure.
In August, the Board of Trustees greenlighted plans to decrease the number of facilities for the February bar exam, a move which is projected to save $645,000. This board continued pursuing its cost-cutting objectives even beyond that. In their Thursday gathering, the decision was made for the July 2024 bar exam to proceed in person at six approved sites—one site less than that of the July 2023 bar exam.
