Legal Tech Firms Announce High-Profile Executive Appointments Ahead of LegalWeek Conference

Four distinct legal tech companies have announced new executive appointments this past week, with the spate of high profile movements prompting speculation as to whether this surge is related to companies ramping up their staffing ahead of the imminent Legalweek conference. Regardless of the reason, here’s a snapshot of these fresh additions to the legal tech C-suites.

In a noteworthy move, Eric Bouchard, previously the CFO at Nestlé Health Sciences, has joined the legal services firm Axiom as the new CFO. At Nestlé, Bouchard was a substantial contributor to the finance team, driving best practices and principles to the health sciences division and thereby significantly enhancing the performance of the company’s commercial and operational teams.

Turning to digital forensics, the eDiscovery and risk management company Exterro has enlisted Paul Valentino, former Chief People Officer at Proofpoint, for the same role in their ranks. Valentino comes with a notable record of bringing phenomenal company culture at Proofpoint, a feat that won the company numerous accolades. The e-discovery service provider Merlin Search Technologies has appointed industry veteran Jim Bocchino as Chief Revenue Officer. With 30 years of industry experience, Bocchino is expected to bring a wealth of expertise gained from leadership positions held at Nuix and Epiq.

There’s news on the internal promotion front as well. e-discovery service provider Relativity has promoted Steve Couling to the position of Chief Sales Officer. Having been with the company since 2012, Couling was crucial to Relativity’s international expansion drive, setting up teams and offices across six countries.
