Among the major transactions of the week was the $35 billion acquisition of software company Ansys by Synopsys, guided by Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton. Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom and Goodwin Procter represented Ansys in the deal. The last few days have seen Skadden and Paul Weiss having been part of numerous significant deals in the tech, energy, and PE sectors.
