Davis Polk & Wardwell has made another noteworthy addition to its team, continuing its recruitment trend from top-tier firm Cravath, Swaine & Moore. The most recent addition is civil litigation expert, Rory Leraris who has spent over 15 years with Cravath, joining them in 2008. Her career at Cravath culminated in 2017 when she became a partner in their litigation department.
Prior to her extensive term at Cravath, Leraris had served as a legal assistant at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meager, & Flom before pursuing law school. Leraris’ transition further signals a pattern of Davis Polk strategically hiring from Cravath. She is at least the fourth Cravath partner to join Davis Polk in recent years, reflecting a strategic move by the firm in bolstering its key practice areas, particularly M&A litigation.
