Breaking Barriers: Roscoe Jones Jr. to Become First Black Dean of Drake University Law School

Gibson Dunn partner Roscoe Jones Jr. embarks on a new journey as he recently accepted the role of dean at Drake University Law School. Taking a step into history, Jones’ ascent marks the first time a black professional will take the helm at the school. As an alumnus of UVA Law, Jones has held pivotal roles in government, legislation, and policy, and has also taught policy courses at several prestigious law schools. His term as dean will commence on July 1, 2024.
