ILTA Evolves: Legal Tech Conference Merges Cybersecurity and Generative AI

The International Legal Technology Association (ILTA) recently announced the launch of a new annual conference – ILTA EVOLVE. Known for successful conferences such as ILTACON in the United States and ILTACON Europe in London, the organisation is expanding its events portfolio as confirmed in their official announcement.

ILTA EVOLVE appears to be succeeding the previously held ILTA conference, the LegalSEC Summit, which henceforth, will not continue under the same title. Like its predecessor, the new conference will also champion Cybersecurity as one of its two primary focuses.

The inaugural conference is planned to take place from April 29 to May 1, 2024, in Charlotte, NC. Alongside Cybersecurity, the conference will spotlight generative AI and its impact on the legal tech industry. Moving forward, the repeated editions of the conference would explore the industry’s latest challenges and precedents.

Reflecting on the significance of the conference, cochair Ken Jones, also COO at Tanenbaum Keale in New Jersey, underscroed that ILTA EVOLVE is aimed at legal technology professionals and members of the broader legal profession. He highlighted their shared experience of being dramatically impacted by technology-induced disruptions in processes and protocols.

The registration for ILTA EVOLVE will open on February 7, with a fee of $999 for ILTA members and $1,299 for non-members. Please find more details regarding the event in the official press release.
