Greenberg Traurig has added to its team in Tokyo, with the arrival of Mizuho Yamada and Ayako Kawano as real estate shareholders, according to a statement by the firm. Both Yamada and Kawano bring a wealth of experience in the field, having formerly worked on real estate transactional matters and provided advice on related corporate bankruptcy issues, restructurings, and workouts at their prior firm, White & Case.
Yamada, in particular, spearheaded the Japanese real estate practice at White & Case. The team addition to Greenberg Traurig also includes Kazuo Kasai as a local partner and Hiroshi Hara as a counsel. The information was brought to light by Bloomberg Law Automation, who covered the story in detail.
