Former Baltimore State’s Attorney, Marilyn Mosby, completed her testimony in a case against her on charges of loan fraud. The case, being held in Greenbelt, Maryland, involves accusations leveled at Mosby for the submission of false statements on a loan application. She has to face two counts tied to these charges.
Mosby’s testimony lasted for approximately a day and a half. During her cross-examination, she conceded that she was cognizant of her and her then-husband, Nick J. Mosby, Baltimore City Council President, having a tax liability at the time of her submission of the loan application for a vacation property in Kissimmee, Florida.
Despite this acknowledgment, Mosby insists that she did not believe she had any relevant information to disclose during the application process. According to her, she was under the impression that the form was accurate when she executed it.
She further shed light on her thoughts, stating that they were in an installment agreement and were current at that time. Following the conclusion of Mosby’s testimony, the prosecution is expected to make a ‘brief’ rebuttal.
