Baker Botts Bolsters IP Department with Benson and Johnson as New Partners

Baker Botts has expanded their intellectual property department by welcoming Robert Benson and Jeffrey Johnson as new partners in San Francisco and Houston. The details of the partnership were announced on Wednesday and first reported by Bloomberg Law Automation.

Having led the Taiwan practice for Orrick, Benson is well-versed in the handling of commercial and intellectual property litigation in federal and state courts. He will be based in San Francisco for his role with Baker Botts. Alongside him, Johnson brings his extensive experience with patent litigation to the firm. Specialising in the technology, energy, and life sciences industries, Johnson will operate from the Houston office.

Benson and Johnson have a strong history of collaboration, having previously worked together on various cases. Their combined efforts have represented clients across the US and Asia, which goes hand in hand with Baker Botts’ commitment to providing exemplary legal solutions abroad as well as domestically.
