AltFee, Skribe.ai, and Paxton AI Triumph at ABA Techshow’s Startup Alley Pitch Competition

The eighth annual Startup Alley pitch competition, hosted as the opening event of ABA Techshow, saw 15 startups vying for the limelight as they pitched their unique products and services to a keen audience of Techshow attendees. Now that the dust has settled and the judges have made their decisions, it’s my pleasure to announce the top three winners of this year’s competition.

  1. Claiming first place is AltFee, their innovative product aims to shift the paradigm in legal firms by replacing the traditional billable hours system with fixed-fee pricing.
  2. Coming in second is Skribe.ai, a groundbreaking alternative to conventional court reporting, claiming to provide a more effective method for taking testimony.
  3. Rounding out the top three is Paxton AI, an AI-integrated legal assistant designed to bring efficiency to routine legal tasks.

Congratulations to all the winners, and indeed to all competitors in this year’s Startup Alley. Hosting this event wouldn’t have been possible without the ABA Techshow planning board, particularly Sofia Lingos and Cynthia Thomas, this year’s co-chairs.

The board’s efforts, alongside the tireless work of the behind-the-scenes ABA team, deserve commendation. A special mention to Clio, and its founder and CEO Jack Newton, for sponsoring Startup Alley for the eighth consecutive year.

A last word of thanks goes to ABA President-elect Bill Bay, who graced us with his presence and aided in recognizing the winners.
