Pogust Goodhead Expands to Australia in Pursuit of BHP Environmental Class Action

International plaintiffs firm Pogust Goodhead has expanded its global footprint with the recent establishment of an office in Sydney, Australia. This strategic move is part of its efforts to advance an environmental class action lawsuit against Australian mining powerhouse BHP, as well as preparatory actions against other companies in the region.

Heading the Sydney office as partners are Amie Crichton and Joshua Carton, both seasoned lawyers in the field. Crichton, who will take on the role of Head of Australia and commercial disputes, brings a wealth of experience from her own practice, Crichton & Co Legal, established in 2018. Prior to her own practice, she served for eight years at Norton Rose Fulbright. Similarly, Joshua Carton, a known class action specialist, transitions from his partner role at Crichton & Co.
