As Donald Trump spends his time criticizing Justice Arthur Engoron and New York Attorney General Letitia James on Truth Social, his lawyers are reportedly preparing to appeal last week’s civil fraud verdict amounted to $355 million. The grounds for these appeals have not been publicly disclosed, which has started eliciting speculations in legal circles. Trump’s lawyer Alina Habba, in an interaction with Newmax’s Rob Finnerty, expressed her confidence in the appeal but, rather intriguingly, refrained from elaborating on the specifics of the legal grounds they will argue on.
Habba’s cryptic responses have led to further curiosity within the legal and media community. However, what’s clear is that the Trump legal team is prepared to fight this verdict assertively, with Habba even asserting during an appearance on Fox’s Martha MacCallum show that the New York AG’s goal to put Trump out of business would not succeed.
