Walgreens Boots Alliance Inc. recently announced the appointment of Lanesha Minnix as their new Global Chief Legal Officer. This news comes on the heels of former legal chief Danielle Gray’s departure from the company. Before taking on this new role, Minnix spent the last two years serving as General Counsel and Corporate Secretary for Ecolab Inc., a globally recognized food safety company. Bloomberg Law reports that Minnix is set to join the Walgreens team on April 15.
Prior to her departure, Minnix will step down from her lead legal role at Ecolab on April 1, as per a securities filing from the St. Paul, MN-based company. According to company records, in 2023, Minnix had received nearly $5 million in total compensation from Ecolab.
This leadership change at Walgreens Boots Alliance Inc. is notable, as Minnix will assume the top legal job at a retail giant with international presence and large-scale operations.
