Corporate law firm Greenberg Traurig reported both revenue and headcount gains last year, although these growth rates appear to be lower in comparison to the prior year’s results. According to statistics, the Am Law 100 firm saw a 6% gain in revenue, crossing the $2.3 billion mark in 2023. The increase in revenue was met with a rather considerable expansion of its staff, with a 4.7% rise in headcount bringing the total workforce to 2,538 lawyers. This growth in staff resulted in a 1.2% increase in revenue per lawyer, which is now at $907,000.
In 2023, Greenberg Traurig opened four new office spaces, potentially contributing to these growth statistics. Despite the more modest growth rates in comparison with 2021 and 2022, CEO Brian Duffy suggests this is only because the two prior years were extraordinarily successful for the firm. The internationally recognized law firm also saw an expansion into the Middle East and Singapore in the same year.
