A&O Shearman Announces First Global Leadership Team, Solidifying Position as Legal Giant

A&O Shearman, on the way to becoming the third-largest firm globally, has elected its first global leadership team. Khalid Garousha has expressed appreciation and excitement about the trust placed in him to lead the newly merged firm as the first senior partner. He emphasizes that with the combined expertise and extensive legal knowledge of the new management team, A&O Shearman is ready to tackle the increasingly complex legal and commercial challenges of their clients, wherever they operate.

Create in tandem with Garousha will be Hervé Ekué, assuming role as Managing Partner, Adam Hakki, acting as the co-chair of the firm’s Global Board and Executive Committee, and also chairing the firm’s U.S. business, and Doreen Lilienfeld, who is set to be the co-managing partner of the firm’s U.S. business.

Wim Dejonghe, the current senior partner at Allen & amp; Overy, shows a positive and encouraging spirit concerning the merger firm’s new senior leadership team. He believes that “A&O Shearman will bring together some of the greatest legal talent in the world while maintaining a focus on clients, our people and wider society“.
