U.S. firms Sidley Austin and Squire Patton Boggs have aided in the acquisition of West Bromwich Albion football club by Florida-based father-son duo, Shilen Patel and Kiran Patel. This takeover marks yet another example of American investors capitalizing on the profitable U.K. football market. The Patels, through their company Bilkul Football, have secured an 87.8% stake in West Bromwich Albion Group, the parent company of West Bromwich Albion Football Club. The deal was reportedly struck for £60 million.
