Zachary Kobrin, a seasoned transactional and regulatory lawyer with a strong focus on cannabis, antitrust and other corporate law, has recently joined Saul Ewing as a partner. Kobrin’s practice will be based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, according to a press release from the firm.
Before his move to Saul Ewing, Kobrin held significant corporate roles within the cannabis industry. He notably served as vice president and general counsel for Trulieve Cannabis Corp., in addition to being general counsel and chief compliance officer for Cansortium Holdings LLC.
News about Kobrin’s move was first reported by Bloomberg LawAutomation on March 7, 2024. Kobrin’s significant experience in the cannabis industry adds depth to Saul Ewing’s existing capabilities and marks a valuable addition to the firm’s Florida practice.
Kobrin’s addition to the Saul Ewing team is reflective of the growing demand for legal expertise in the cannabis industry amid state and federal changes to marijuana laws across the country.
