Tesla Shareholders Urge Reversal of Judge’s Decision on Musk’s $56 Billion Compensation Package

Elon Musk’s most ardent supporters have inundated Chancellor Kathaleen McCormick with complaints following the Delaware judge’s decision to strike down Musk’s $56 billion Tesla compensation package. Notably, the shareholders appear to be agitated that the attorneys who successfully contested the package have requested payment in the form of $6 billion in Tesla stock. The correspondences allude to a complaint about Tesla squandering assets reports Fortune .

Musk, the controversial CEO, publicly expressed dissatisfaction with the judgement, noting his intentions to shift Tesla from Delaware and reincorporate elsewhere.

The complainants hope the judge will reevaluate her decision, as one such quoted example reads, “Elon Musk deserves the original compensation package in full.” They argue that the lawyers who contested and “won” the lawsuit demanding a roughly $5.9 billion compensation in Tesla shares do not have the company’s shareholders’ interests at heart.

Despite these numerous appeals, Chancellor McCormick has stated she is not reading the letters, citing the state judiciary’s ethics code. The code restricts her from considering correspondences from non-parties in the litigation who claim to hold Tesla stock she explained. The judge has requested lawyers on both sides to recommend an appropriate way to handle the letters.
