Daily Show Correspondent Joins Edelson PC as Director of Communication & Impact

Following his tenure as a correspondent for “The Daily Show,” Bob Wiltfong shifts gears in his career by joining the plaintiff-side firm Edelson PC. Known for his skitful indictment of powerful figures, Wiltfong is set to take up the role of the Director of Communication & Impact.

Edelson PC is no stranger to the integration of artistry with the legal field. A thorough example of their initiative is Edelson Creative, a platform that has published inventive and humorous rap videos about non-compliance and Disney spoofs about class actions. The group has also received accolades for producing a video on its role in the Tom Girardi matter.

In his latest role, Wiltfong will contribute content to the firm’s creative division and head the its public relations arm. A key focus of his role will be to provide a relatable voice aimed at making the public more aware of how they might be marginalized by the powerful. Indeed, it’s reminiscent of his work with “The Daily Show”.

Interestingly, Wiltfong once hosted a TED Talk about purging business speak of its excessive use of buzzwords. It’s left to be seen how his new role as “Director of Communication & Impact” squares with his critique of business jargon.

Reacting to his new appointment, Wiltfong said, “I’m used to interacting with attorneys only while handcuffed and facing charges. So it’s refreshing to actually work with them on doing good things in this world — namely going after fraud, corruption, and inefficiencies in the world of class action lawsuits. I can’t wait to share Edelson stories with a bigger audience.”

Our hearty congratulations to both Wiltfong and Edelson.
