Simpson Thacher, renowned law firm, announced that Paul Hibbert and Emma Serginson will be joining their firm as partners in the London office. This information was revealed on Wednesday, as per the news provided by Bloomberg Law Automation.
Hibbert’s legal expertise is in advising entities such as companies, private equity sponsors, and their portfolio companies on acquisition and leveraged finance operations in the infrastructure sector. Simpson Thacher acknowledges this particular skill set.
Serginson, on the other hand, focuses mainly on numerous areas; infrastructure, leveraged acquisition finance, domestic and cross-border debt, as well as other corporate finance transactions. Simpson Thacher confirmed this focus, in alignment with the firm’s extensive operations.
The newly appointed partners join from Weil Gotshal, and it is noteworthy that during her career, Serginson has also experienced secondment at the credit products legal team of JPMorgan in London. This variation of experience further strengthens her position at Simpson Thacher.
