Abnormal Security, an AI-based cybersecurity startup renowned for its email security platform which actively defends corporate inboxes against phishing attacks and other scams, has just appointed a new chief legal officer, Jeff True. Jeff, who formerly served as the General Counsel of Zoom, is set to help the booming startup charter its way towards its initial public offering (IPO).
The company’s CEO, Evan Reiser, recently confirmed this development, revealing that True’s onboarding will play a pivotal role in their pre-IPO phase.
True seems to be moving back to his prime expertise in cybersecurity with this new venture. Prior to joining Zoom in 2020, he served as the General Counsel of another prominent cybersecurity firm, Palo Alto Networks. His new position at Abnormal Security marks a significant reunion with his cybersecurity roots.
Unveiling the news on LinkedIn, True expressed his excitement about rejoining the security field, stating his readiness to support Abnormal Security’s top-notch team as they embark on their next growth phase.
