In an exceptional executive shakeup, Boeing Co. has responded to long-standing demands by their customers in response to the escalating safety crisis plaguing the company. This overhaul has reportedly come into effect following an outlook call by the upper executives of leading U.S. airline companies on Boeing’s board, asking for immediate action to contain the deteriorating situation.
Following this laydown, a group of three high-ranking officials that have stood at the company’s helm for the previous four years have announced their relinquishment of control. This departure includes the highly regarded Chief Executive Officer, Dave Calhoun.
The resolute request for this move was initiated by the CEO’s of Boeing’s three largest customers in the U.S., which are United Airlines Holdings Inc., Southwest Airlines Co., and others that remain undisclosed. It is, however, evident that Boeing’s incoming leadership has a highly significant task at hand. Not only must they handle the current challenges but also mend the tarnished relationship with major customer airlines and work towards regaining their faith in the company.
