The annual event, The American Lawyer Industry Awards, which honours the best and brightest legal minds in the industry, is currently accepting nominations. Emphasising the importance of both legal acumen and creativity in navigating unprecedented issues and facilitating clients to achieve their objectives, the awards welcome innovative contributions from all corners of the legal sector.
This year sees the introduction of a new category: Best Professional Development Initiative and International Law Firm of the Year. The biennial law firm corporate practices of the year awards are also making a return with specific categories like Small/Midcap Deals, Health Care/Pharmaceutical, Tech/Telecom and Energy. The submission cut-off for the Industry Awards is June 12, whereas the law firm corporate practices selections are due by June 26.
Firms have the opportunity to put forward two entries per category across a wide range of sections. Notable categories include Lifetime Achievement, Attorney of the Year, Legal Services Innovation Award, Best Use of Technology, Best Law Company, Best Professional Development Initiative, Young Lawyer of the Year (Litigation, Corporate, Beyond Practice), International Law Firm of the Year, Law Firm of the Year, National Boutique/Specialty Litigation Department of the Year, and Law Firm Corporate Lawyer of the Year.
