Healthcare Providers Seek Legal Resolution on Change Health’s Unmet Software Integration Promises

Amidst an increasing reliance on technology in the healthcare field, some recent legal developments involving Change Health, a prominent healthcare financial technology company, have ignited discussions amongst legal professionals. Plaintiffs, which include a number of healthcare providers, have lodged accusations against Change Health claiming that it failed to meet its promised software integration dates.

According to the plaintiffs, Change Health gave assurances that, “electronic payment functionality will be available for connection beginning March 15.” Moreover, Change Health guaranteed to “reestablish connectivity to their claims network and software on March 18, restoring service through the week.” Allegedly, these promises have not been honored.

In response, the healthcare providers have taken the matter to court to seek official judgement on the software connection date. The outcome of this case may potentially affect how similar issues between technology service providers and their clients are handled in the future.
