Donald Trump’s newly public social media company is increasingly caught up in legal disputes, many of them pertaining to suspected misconduct by the executives responsible for establishing the company and facilitating its merger with a public entity. Additionally, these lawsuits also involve allegations pointing towards the ex-president’s activities.
Trump’s venture into the realm of social media began with Truth Social, a right-leaning social platform initiated by Trump in 2021. Trump subsequently established a company, Trump Media & Technology Group, committed to challenging what he considered to be the prejudiced stance of the “liberal media”. However, despite its outspoken mission, the company is sadly identified more for its extensive legal entanglements.
