Venable Bolsters Product Liability and Mass Torts Group with Steptoe Trio

In a latest development, three experienced legal professionals have transitioned to Venable, further strengthening the firm’s product liability and mass torts group. The trio, Derek Smith, Jeremy Goldkind, and Joo Cha Webb, previously offered their services at Steptoe, as indicated by the announcement made by Venable.

Derek Smith is set to operate from the firm’s Chicago office, along with Jeremy Goldkind. Smith’s portfolio boasts an extensive practice of representing clients from diverse sectors like chemical, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, and specialty-material in complex and mass tort litigations. His addition to Venable is deemed to offer a significant boost to the firm’s product liability and mass torts group.

Jeremy Goldkind, on the other hand, has an impressive record of representing both national and international clients in commercial disputes, product liability, and mass tort cases. His professional journey includes numerous successes that vouch for his mettle in managing complex legal affairs.

Joo Cha Webb, the third attorney joining Venable’s squad, will base her operations from the Los Angeles office. Her professional acumen can be gauged by her success in advising and defending companies in environmental and toxic tort claims, compliance issues, and product liability law.

This move is expected to accentuate Venable’s capabilities in the product liability and mass torts space, with the seasoned practitioners onboard ready to navigate the legal complexities for their clientele.
