Prosecutors in the Southern District of New York indicated on Wednesday that they would consent to a postponement in the bribery and corruption trial of Sen. Robert Menendez, D-NJ, and his wife Nadine Menendez, due to her ongoing medical treatment. The defense attorneys from Schertler Onorato Mead & Sears disclosed to U.S. District Judge Sidney Stein that Nadine Menendez was recently diagnosed with a severe medical condition that would require a surgical procedure in the upcoming month.
