Biglaw firms are constantly striving to provide exemplary service, ensuring their clients are satisfied and their reputations remain solid. However, in 2023, many firms faced a significant challenge as client service levels across the industry took a dip. Despite these tumultuous waters, some firms stood out, maintaining high standards of client service. BTI Consulting Group recognized these firms in their annual ‘Client Service A-Team’ ranking, which assesses the top 30 law firms highly regarded by corporate counsel for their client service excellence. (More Details)
To construct this ranking, BTI Consulting engaged with over 300 decision-making individuals from in-house teams. These professionals provided the names of firms that excelled in client service across a range of 17 activities. These activities include vital areas such as resource availability, providing the best team possible, speedy situation assessment, a strong commitment to assist the client, delivering optimum value, client attentiveness and understanding the client’s business.
The firms that made it into BTI Consulting’s top 30 outstripped their competition by quite a margin, performing 9 to 15 times better on client service than the typical law firm. The BTI report states that law firms providing superior client service are thriving and likely to continue to do so, as it’s easier to enhance client service quality when you are already proficient at it.
