Above The Law has officially started seeking submissions for its 15th Annual Law Revue Video Contest. As Spring has sprung, law students around the globe are being encouraged to send in their very best law revue videos.
This contest provides a platform for students to showcase their creativity, humor, and wit, with submissions from previous years ranging from hilarious to simply “meh”. The best videos are bound to delight not only the editorial team at Above The Law but also its wider audience.
The team responsible for the winning video can look forward to receiving Above the Law prizes and bragging rights over their law school peers. Contrarily, all losers can expect exoneration with an opportunity to try again next year.
The rules of the competition are quite clear:
- Videos must be publicly available online, and the link should be sent to tips@abovethelaw.com. Only videos posted after April 28, 2023, after their last contest, will be accepted.
- The primary performers in the video should be from the law school community, although cameos from outsiders are acceptable.
- The deadline for submissions is FRIDAY, APRIL 26, at 5:00 P.M. (Eastern time) and is non-negotiable.
- The editorial team at Above The Law will compile a favorites list, which would include the competition finalists.
- Videos longer than 5 minutes will not be considered.
- A maximum of two entries per school should be submitted.
- The winning video will be determined by a vote from the readers of Above The Law.
Students are also given a few guidelines: videos should be funny, the video quality should be good, and the maximum video duration should be used wisely. Additionally, shoutouts to Above The Law in videos are both appreciated and encouraged.
Overall, this is a great opportunity for law students to showcase their talent, obtain some recognition, and inject some humor into the legal profession. It’s an event which promises to be as entertaining as it is competitive and we certainly look forward to the outcome.
