Global Law Professionals Set to Compete in Humorous 15th Annual Law Revue Video Contest

Legal professionals from across the globe, it’s time to showcase your less serious side. Above the Law is calling for entries for their 15th Annual Law Revue Video Contest. The contest represents an opportunity for law professionals to exercise their creativity and humor, engaging with colleagues far beyond their daily legal rigors.

The winning team stands to earn not only an array of Above the Law prizes but also the esteem of their peers across the legal community worldwide. Those that don’t quite make the cut, however, can take comfort in knowing there will always be a prospect next year.

Before you start sifting through your video archives or brainstorming that award-winning idea, note the rules of the contest. Your video must be publicly available online and primary performers should principally be within the law school sphere. While the contest welcomes the participation of competitors from worldwide law schools, the limit is capped at two entries per school.

Video submissions need to be sent in by 5:00 P.M. Eastern time on Friday, April 26. Contestants must meet the deadline as no exceptions will be entertained. Above the Law editors will then sort through the entries to compile a list of finalists for voting by readers. Please note that videos exceeding five minutes in length will not be considered.

To keep the contest uplifting and entertaining, submissions should be humorous. Extravagantly funny content is encouraged, particularly if the video runs for the full five minutes. Shaky or poor-quality videos will most likely be discarded, so quality matters. Above all, contestants are urged to keep things fun and enjoyable.

Successful entries from previous years can serve as a reference point. For instance, West Virginia’s 2013 winning entry offers valuable insights into crafting an engaging law revue video.

If you haven’t done so already, now is the time to send in your video submissions and brace yourselves for an exciting contest, fierce competition, and the opportunity to be known as creators of the funniest law revue video of the year.
