Slaughter and May Strengthens Pensions Group with Freshfields Partner Hire

In a rare move, leading law firm Slaughter and May has bolstered its pensions group through the hire of a seasoned Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer partner, Charles Magoffin. According to a firm’s release, Magoffin, who had been a partner at Freshfields since 2010, is set to join as a senior counsel in September.

With over 20 years of experience in pensions-related advisory, Magoffin brings a wealth of expertise to his new role at Slaughter and May. His career trajectory includes a longstanding tenure at Freshfields, where he has been a partner for almost a decade.
