Withers KhattarWong, the Singapore-based branch of UK’s Withers, is spearheading a class action lawsuit against Singapore’s own Cordlife Group, a public company specialising in private cord blood banking services across Asia. According to the Business Times, as reported this week, at least two sets of Cordlife clients are now mulling over the potential for class action-like lawsuits against the firm, and are currently consulting legal opinion from various law firms.
The claims against Cordlife Group potentially extend past simple refunds. The suit includes intricate matters surrounding loss of the possibility for life-saving treatments, as suggested by Withers KhattarWong.
