Law firm Perkins Coie recently welcomed a new intellectual property and patent prosecution partner, Zach Hong, aboard its New York office. This staffing news was announced by Perkins Coie itself, marking a significant addition to the firm.
Zach Hong moves to Perkins Coie from Cleerly, a digital health care company utilizing artificial intelligence technology to calculate the risk of heart diseases. Hong previously served as the general counsel and chief compliance officer at Cleerly. His role began at the start of 2022, however, his transition to Perkins Coie marks a short tenure with the health tech company.
Prior to his time with Cleerly, Zach was a partner at Knobbe Martens. His move to Perkins Coie comes during a week of considerable staff changes in top legal establishments. While the reasons for these extensive changes aren’t immediately evident, the recruitment of legal professionals like Hong adds to the dynamism of the legal landscape.
