Blank Rome Recruits Burns & Levinson Lawyers for Boston Expansion and Cannabis Practice Launch

Blank Rome, the Philadelphia-based law firm, marked its debut in Boston this past Wednesday after recruiting a major share of corporate lawyers, along with the entire team of cannabis practitioners from Burns & Levinson of Boston. The transition group from Burns & Levinson consists of several seasoned leaders in the fields of business, finance, and cannabis law, and comprises 13 partners, 12 associates, as well as an undisclosed number of professionals in business.

Over time, this team began to surpass Burns & Levinson in capacity, explained Blank Rome’s new co-chair for the Boston office and the freshly inaugurated cannabis practice, Frank Segall. Full details available here.

This strategic hiring expands Blank Rome’s operation to its 16th office, along with the establishment of a new specialty in cannabis law, a move reflecting the firm’s planning for a burgeoning market in the area.
