Law Revue Video Contest: Showcasing the Creative and Comedic Side of Future Lawyers

The ever-entertaining Law Revue Video Contest returns for its fifteenth edition this year, and the lawyers-to-be have again combined their legal knowledge, creative flair, and a good dose of humor for the annual affair. Continuing from last year, fantastic performances impressed the reviewers enough that this year, the finalist list has narrowed down to the top six videos from law schools across the country.

With a mix of recent pop and classic hip-hop themes, these videos showed off more than their bearers’ legal acumen. They displayed excellent comedic timing and professional-grade production values, effectively lighting up the competition. The reviewers for the year are Staci Zaretsky, Joe Patrice, Kathryn Rubino, and Chris Williams, inviting votes for the future winners of this contest from the readers.

The competition includes schools like Columbia with ‘Bar Prep Bars,’ NYU with ‘Bar Review,’ and Tulsa with ‘Professional Responsibility,’ among others. The reviewers were particularly impressed with the creative and clever interweaving of lyrics and narrative in Columbia’s entry and enjoyed GW’s mix of Britney Spears, One Direction, and Nickelback. Northwestern’s live performance was commended for its solid lyrics despite the difficulty of maintaining sound quality.

All videos are well received and reviewed, each vying to join the ranks of past winners in the annals of Law Revue history. The voting process is now open until Friday, May 10, at 10 a.m. Eastern time.

They say laughter is the best stress-reliever, and these law school students prove it right. Their creative work adds a lighthearted twist to the often-dense world of law. So legal professionals, now is the time cast your vote and help choose the best of the lot.
