Moses Singer LLP Settles Pregnancy Discrimination Lawsuit with Former Partner

New York-based law firm Moses Singer LLP and a former partner, Megan Daneshrad, who claimed that she was unjustly terminated after asking for workplace accommodations due to pregnancy have agreed to a settlement, as indicated by recent court documents.

Daneshrad is reported to have submitted a letter expressing that both parties had arrived at a settlement in principle. This led to the issuance of a dismissal order by the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York last Thursday.

The former partner had accused Moses Singer LLP of engaging in gender discrimination through acts of sexual harassment, unequal pay, and limiting work opportunities. The claim suggests these actions happened prior to her wrongful termination, which allegedly came as retaliation after she requested adjustments due to pregnancy.
