Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, better known simply as Mintz Levin, has made a significant addition to its roster by recruiting Siegmund Gutman, the life science patent practice chair at Proskauer Rose. Gutman will be based in Los Angeles and is one of ten attorneys Mintz Levin has hired as part of their growth strategy to strengthen their life sciences presence across Los Angeles, Boston, and New York.
Within his new role at Mintz Levin, Gutman is set to wear multiple hats. He will assume the position of the chair of life sciences litigation as well as co-chair the firm’s patent litigation group. Gutman’s appointment will be closely supported by David Hanna and an additional eight attorneys who will be working across the firm’s Los Angeles, Boston, and New York offices. In Mintz Levin’s terminology, “member” refers to “partner” and both Gutman and Hanna will be referred to as members at their new firm.
