Skadden Boosts Financial Regulatory Practice with Addition of Two Renowned Co-Chairs

Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, an internationally recognized law firm, has expanded its financial institutions regulatory sector with the addition of two significant figures to co-chair the group. These new lateral partners, Adam Cohen and Mark Chorazak, come with an impressive expanse of experience that covers governmental affairs, private enterprises, and Big Law.

Adam Cohen, a former general counsel at SoFi Bank, operates out of Washington, D.C., while Mark Chorazak, former fintech group chair at Shearman & Sterling, now known as A&O Shearman, operates from New York. The addition of these seasoned professional to Skadden’s team brings a breadth of knowledge to the regulatory practice.

The arrival of the duo is deemed a strategic lateral pursuit by Jeremy London, Skadden’s executive partner, for the range of their combined legal experience. He believes that their diverse backgrounds and familiarity with various legal landscapes tick all the right boxes for the growth and sustainability of the firm’s financial regulatory practice.

“This sort of blend of government, private enterprise and Big Law, they checked all of those boxes, which was important to us,” said London in an interview about the new partners.
