Perkins Coie, headed by Bill Malley, has been noted as the largest U.S. firm yet to establish a base in London. In line with reports from The American Lawyer, the firm has contemplated whether setting up in London would be a wise move.
Earlier reports stating that they were simply considering the move have now been superseded by action. The Seattle-based firm has indeed announced its London invasion, declaring the opening of a six-lawyer office. Presiding over the new outpost is former White & Case equity co-head, Ian Bagshaw.
The London office aims to provide corporate services for European technology-oriented clientele, accommodating startups throughout various stages of their evolution.
Notably, Bagshaw envisions an untapped niche in the London market for Perkins’ specific focus on technology and the mid-market. For more comprehensive details, refer to the original article on The American Lawyer.
