The U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is accused of failing to disclose details regarding its communication with former Dechert lawyers, in spite of facing an imposed subpoena. This claim is made by Farhad Azima, an aviation businessman and victim of an alleged hacking campaign. Azima’scontention arises from a deposition with FBI agent Paul Zukas, where he alleges Dechert misused the Bureau.
Detailed information about this situation came to light as Azima filed a motion in a Texas court. It is important to note that earlier in the year, he had accepted an offer from Dechert to settle part of their dispute, which was unfolding in London. This settlement included £3 million in damages and anticipated millions more in costs.
