These questions becomes extremely pertinent to those attempting to build a practice; understanding which lawyers clients place their faith in, can help shape your practice to be more competitive.

For several years now, publication Above the Law has been compiling a Top Outside Counsel report, featuring viewpoints from corporate counsel and in-house attorneys from nearly 440 companies. These range from small to medium-sized private companies, to large public corporations. This in-depth report covers an impressive array of business entities, thus providing valuable insights.

Heading towards the 2024 edition of the report, Above the Law aims to gather an even wider range of client perspectives to deepen the insights that the report can provide. They are inviting a large cross-section of clients to participate whilst ensuring they have a focus on collecting more information to make this report even more enlightening.

In-house attorneys and law firm clientele are encouraged to share which law firms they trust and what level of work they delegate to them. Simultaneously, outside counsels are urged to ensure their clients participate in the survey.

Participation in this process will benefit not only firms but also legal departments. The greater the participation, the more valuable the insights that can be gleaned. Importantly, the survey guarantees brevity and anonymity to its participants, making it a simple and secure way to contribute to industry knowledge.
